Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Newly Crowned World Heavyweight Champion

WWE is taking Backlash overseas in 2024. The card takes place on Saturday from LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, and is the first major event to follow this year's massive WrestleMania.

Backlash will be available on pay-per-view or via Peacock for fans in the US. Outside the US, the event is available on the WWE Network. In Australia, Backlash is available via Foxtel.

The main event of Backlash will see Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defend his title against the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion. The World Heavyweight Championship was reinstated on the April 14 episode of Raw, and the inaugural champion will be crowned in a tournament that will conclude at Backlash.

Other matches on the card include the Women's Tag Team Championship match between champions TBD and challengers TBD, the Intercontinental Championship match between champion TBD and challenger TBD, the United States Championship match between champion TBD and challenger TBD, the Raw Tag Team Championship match between champions TBD and challengers TBD, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between champions TBD and challengers TBD, the Women's Royal Rumble winner, and the Men's Royal Rumble winner.

Backlash is one of WWE's "Big Four" pay-per-views, along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. The event was first held in 1999 and has been held annually since 2004.
