Espn Mock Draft Nba

Team Analysis for All 30 First-Round Picks

Byline:

Jonathan Givony, Mike Schmitz

With the college and international basketball seasons winding down, ESPN NBA draft insiders Jonathan Givony and Mike Schmitz have released their latest mock draft, which features significant movement in the first round.

One of the biggest takeaways from the mock draft is the potential for movement among the lottery teams. The Detroit Pistons, who currently hold the No. 1 overall pick, are reportedly open to trading down if they can acquire a star player in return. The Houston Rockets, who have the No. 2 pick, are also said to be exploring trade options.

In terms of individual players, the mock draft has Cade Cunningham going No. 1 overall to the Pistons, followed by Evan Mobley to the Rockets and Jalen Green to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Other notable prospects in the top 10 include Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors), Jalen Suggs (Orlando Magic), and Moses Moody (Golden State Warriors).

Things could still change a lot in the month leading up to the draft, but ESPN's latest mock provides a good snapshot of the current landscape of the 2021 NBA draft.
