Vancouver Takes 3-2 Series Lead

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in Game 5 of their second-round playoff series on Wednesday night. The win gives the Canucks a 3-2 lead in the series.

The game was tied 2-2 in the final minute when J.T. Miller scored the game-winning goal. The goal was Miller's second of the game and third of the playoffs.

Thatcher Demko made 30 saves for the Canucks, while Mike Smith made 28 saves for the Oilers.

The Canucks will now host the Oilers in Game 6 on Friday night. A win by the Canucks would give them a chance to clinch the series in Game 7 on Sunday night in Edmonton.
